The Founders.

Frances, originally from New Zealand, and Freyja from Surrey, both share a love for travel and adventure. After spending their twenties exploring the world, they both eventually found themselves settled in Cornwall, where their paths crossed. With a deep appreciation for the beauty of the Cornish coastline and a passion for sustainable living, they began to brainstorm ways to bring a touch of luxury to everyday life. They both shared a vision of creating high-quality, natural products that not only looked beautiful but also had a positive impact on the environment. Thus, Kauri & Oak was born.

Combining Frances and Freyja's love for the sea, nature, and design, they set out to create a range of products that would not only nourish the skin and uplift the senses but also help to reduce their environmental impact. For Frances and Freyja, Kauri & Oak is more than just a business. It's a reflection of their shared passions and values, and a way to make a positive impact on the world by providing products that are both luxurious and sustainable.

Kauri & Oak takes its name from the founders' connection to nature and their personal backgrounds. The native Kauri tree in New Zealand is a symbol of strength, beauty and resilience. The English Oak tree in England has a rich cultural significance. The company's name, Kauri & Oak, is a reflection of the founders' shared love of nature and their personal connections to these trees. By using these names, they wanted to represent a deep respect for the natural world and a commitment to sustainability.
